Dallas Independent School District: Dallas ISD CTE MFG Day 2021: AER Manufacturing and Women in Manufacturing (WiM) Virtual Tours

On Friday, October 1st, the CTE Department will observe Manufacturing Day 2021 with a double feature virtual tour from industry partners AER Manufacturing and Women in Manufacturing Texas (WiM). AER Manufacturing provides remanufactured engine assemblies to all major OEM customers to include Ford Motor Company, General Motors, Chrysler, Nissan, Subaru and Volvo. AER Manufacturing’s Vice President and COO of Manufacturing, Adam Skaggs, will participate in a Q&A session with participants to discuss how modern manufacturing can be inspirational to the next generation of creators. Women in Manufacturing Texas is the only national trade association dedicated to providing year-round support to women who have chosen a career in the manufacturing industry. WiM works diligently to support, promote, and inspire men and women working within the manufacturing industry. The Dallas/Ft. Worth Regional Lead for WiM, Shameka Lewis, will participate in a Q&A session with participants to discuss the relevancy of manufacturing through the lens of safety.
