Asheville Chamber Presents: The Making of Chocolate and Bicycle Parts

Held annually in October, MFG Day—Manufacturing Day—helps show the reality of modern manufacturing careers by encouraging thousands of companies and educational institutions around the nation to open their doors to students, parents, teachers, and community leaders. This year, on MFG Day, we will be hosting a virtual event showcasing two of our local area manufacturers - Industry Nine and French Broad Chocolates. With manufacturing careers at the heart of some of the most impactful work being done in response to the pandemic, we are excited to shine a spotlight on manufacturing careers. How To Join This Event

EVENT DETAILS

• Manufacturing Day will be held as a virtual field trip on Wednesday, October 21, 2020.
  • Log in from 9:45 – 10:00 a.m.
  • Virtual Field Trip from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.
  • Log-in credentials and details will be sent to all registered attendees the day before the event.
• We will showcase two manufacturers – Industry Nine and French Broad Chocolates.
• The virtual field trip is opened to all teachers, school counselors, and students in Asheville City, Buncombe, Haywood, Henderson, Madison, and Transylvania counties.

 

All teachers, counselors and students must register in advance, at the links below, in order to participate:

• MFG Day is an initiative of The Manufacturing Institute, with the Fabricators & Manufacturers Association as a founding partner.
