Q. I have multiple events. Should I enter them separately?
A. In most cases, yes. If the events are at different times (like multiple times for plant tour groups) or in different locations, entering separate events will allow visitors to find the event they want to attend and register for it more easily. It will also keep registrations separate, so you know who is coming to each event.
You can create as many events as you need to from your host dashboard. However, if you will not be managing every event, then the person who will manage an event should set it up under their own host login and password.
Q. October 3 is not convenient for my company to have an event because it’s a Friday. Our shop works four ten-hour days, Monday through Thursday. Can we still participate if we want to hold an event on a different day in October?
A. Yes, the event registry is set up to accept events on any date you choose. If it is more convenient to have your event on a date other than October 3, please feel free to choose a different date. The important thing is to plan an event in October. But even if you have to hold an event in September or November, please add it to the online registry on MfgDay.com to notify your local community and demonstrate your support for the movement.
Q. I’ve created an event and posted it on MfgDay.com but now need to make some changes to the listing. Can I do that myself?
A.Yes, you can make changes to your listing on your own. Simply login with the username and password you set up when you created your account to access your dashboard. Once you’re there, you can revise your event information and re-save it.
Q. Does everyone who wants to attend an event have to register in advance?
A. Groups of five or more must register in advance, but individuals are not required to register in order to attend MFG DAY events. What’s important is that you connect with your community. If your event listing is completed properly, the MfgDay.com website will provide all the tools for interested parties to get in touch with you about your event. We strongly encourage all attendees to RSVP.
Q. How do I find out how many people are coming to my event?
A. All the visitors who take the time to register for your event will be linked to your event listing and appear in a registry accessible from your account dashboard. The website indicates that all groups of five or more must register in advance, which should prevent you from being surprised by a large number of unexpected attendees.
