MFG Day Helps Tackle the Skilled Worker Shortage

Rockford, Ill., November 11, 2013: On the second annual Manufacturing Day, Oct. 4, 2013, over 825 manufacturers, in 48 states, opened their doors to more than 35,000 guests in a coordinated effort to illustrate what manufacturing is, and what it isn’t. The events allowed students, parents, educators, and job seekers to learn about the innovative and challenging environments of today’s manufacturers and the rewarding careers available for those with the right skills and training.
