The Advanced Manufacturing Technology Department was able to join the celebration with several events. One of them was on Oct. 6th where about 80 high school students were present along with about 25 college students. The had the opportunity to hear from alumni success stories on what manufacturing is to them and later visited manufacturing companies. Ten companies opened their doors for these students. Some of these companies included: Royal Technologies, Amaida Machine Shop and Deminburg. On the 27th the manufacturing department hosed another event this time close to 200 junior high, and high school students were exposed to manufacturing. They were able to hear Trung Nguyen, Royal Technologies' plant manager and what he does on a daily basis in the plastic injection molding company he manages. On this day 12 companies opened their doors to these students. Some of these companies included: Regal Beloit, Zebra Technologies and Windsor Mold.
