Manufacturing Day 2015 @ Detroit Manufacturing Systems

Detroit Manufacturing Systems welcomed nearly 200 high school students on Manufacturing Day 2015 to its campus on Detroit's northwest side, where more than 1 million vehicle instrument panels were produced last year.

Visiting teens were treated to facility tours, career talks and production simulations, along with refreshments, giveaways and random drawings for tech-driven prizes, including a 32" LED Smart TV and remote-controlled vehicles.

U.S. Sen. Debbie Stabenow, Department of Commerce Assistant Secretary Marcus Jadotte and Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan joined DMS CEO Andra M. Rush for a brief program at the start of the day to encourage youngsters to consider a rewarding and good-paying career in modern manufacturing.
