Update - 8-28-17. We are excited to announce that State Senator Jay Hottinger will be attending our MFG DAY this year!

Apeks Supercritical will be hosting a tour of our new manufacturing facility located in Johnstown, Ohio. Tour attendees will see first hand how our manufacturing processes come together in our vertically integrated manufacturing facility which includes welding, machining, mechanical assembly, electrical panel building, testing and crating for shipping. Student participants will have an opportunity to get "hands on" with one manufacturing area of their choice - welding, tube fitting and bending, machining or electrical controls assembly:

• Welding – students will learn the basics of arc welding from experienced professional welders with more than 30 years combined experience and will be able to use a GTAW welder to make an arc weld on a stainless steel coupon. We will have 2 or 3 stations set up and students will be able to take their welded coupon home to show off their skills!
• Machining – students will learn machining fundamentals from veteran machinists with more than 50 years combined experience and will have an opportunity to drill, tap, debur and inspect a ¼-20” threaded hole in stainless steel. We will have 2 stations set up and students will be able to take their machined coupon home to show off their skills and find bolts that fit their machined sample!
• Mechanical tube fitting and assembly – students will learn about high pressure compression tube fitting and bending applications from seasoned tube fitting experts and will get to measure, cut, bend and assemble tubing according to a sample part (great for math lovers!). We will have 3 stations set up and students will be able to take their bent tube home to show off their skills!
• Electrical controls assembly – students will learn the basics of Programmable Logic Controls from an automation expert with more than 20 years experience managing assembly automation at Honda in Marysville. Students will assemble control wires and program the PLC to put a “Knight Rider” light bar in action! Bring your camera to record your accomplishment!

Anyone with an interest in seeing the inner workings of Ohio's fastest growing company should attend!

Visitors should wear attire appropriate for a manufacturing facility - long pants, closed toed shoes, no loose clothes, no headphones. Safety glasses will be provided.

This event is open to the public- Please RSVP to so we can make sure we have enough refreshments for everyone!

About Apeks Supercritical

Apeks Supercritical has been designing and manufacturing botanical oil extraction systems that utilize subcritical and/or supercritical CO2 as a solvent since 2001. Systems range in size from our smallest 1 liter benchtop system to our 80 liter production system and are fully automated for “lights out” operation. We are veteran owned, have several degreed engineers on staff and all of our systems are proudly built in Johnstown, Ohio with as many American made parts and components as possible. We have more than 500 systems being used in extraction applications across the US with more systems being added daily!
