Girls Employed in Manufacturing (GEM) Day!. High school junior and senior girls participate in a day of activities designed to increase awareness of career opportunities in manufacturing. The day begins with hands-on exercises to simulate manufacturing experiences. This is followed by a Role Models Panel Discussion luncheon. Women leaders in manufacturing speak on real-life experiences in manufacturing. The day then concludes with a tour of a local manufacturing facility.

The Alabama Technology Network is a part of the Alabama Community College System and the Manufacturing Extension Partnership.
