This Reception will be an evening of leisure that provides a chance for the general public and students to participate in table top discussions alongside wind industry experts and professionals. This provides an opportunity for learning more about the industry while enjoying light appetizers and beverages. Conversation areas will include REC's Defined, How to Become and Alternative Power Gen Facility, Workforce Development, Wildlife Impact and Solutions, Turbine Setbacks, Human Health Impact Myths and Reality, PTC Wind by the Numbers, National Perspective Discussion, Rock Island Clean Line Issues, and, Emerging Technology Innovations.

About Iowa Wind Area Association
IWEA was incorporated January 1, 2008 as a 501 (c) 6 non-profit corporation with the intent of supporting the growth of the wind industry in Iowa. An initial 15 member Board of Directors was established to guide IWEA’s growth and development. Membership Characteristics Membership is open to all who are interested in wind energy and its development and expansion. Current membership stands at over 150 members representing all aspects of the wind industry. Members are encouraged to become active with IWEA Committees and attend various IWEA events and functions. Individuals or companies interested in joining IWEA are encouraged to go to the Membership Page of the website for information about the membership and instructions on how to join IWEA.
