Cedar Valley Career Connections Manufacturing Tour Week.
Hawkeye CC is planning tours at manufactures in their communities for 9th grade students. Cedar Valley schools will register for the tours through their Cedar Valley Career Connections Program Coordinator. The event will be held October 3-7.

In the statewide effort to elevate advanced manufacturing Iowa’s Community Colleges, CIRAS, IADG, ISU Extension and Outreach, and ABI lead the endeavor to promote National Manufacturing Day within each of Iowa’s 99 counties.

Hawkeye Community College’s main campus is located near the southeast edge of Waterloo, Iowa. There are approximately 5,400 students attending classes. Hawkeye offers ... •More than 45 one-year and two-year programs for credit classes. •Business and Community Education classes. •Specialized training geared toward business and industry. •Classes for high school students during their junior and senior years so they may attain college credits early. Additional Facts •Hawkeye officially opened in 1966 and became a comprehensive community college with the addition of arts and sciences to the curriculum in 1992. •The name was officially changed from Hawkeye Institute of Technology to Hawkeye Community College in July 1993. •Hawkeye has six locations that are within a thirty-five mile radius of the main campus.
