GenMet invites Students, Teachers, Administrators, School Board Members, Elected Officials and Parents to tour our facility to learn firsthand about the many career opportunities manufacturing has to offer. On October 7th, 2016 GenMet Corp will be highlighting technical manufacturing careers as well as those in Engineering, Accounting, Purchasing, Customer Service and IT. You will have the opportunity to interact with GenMet team members in our production environment while observing activities such as laser cutting, metal forming, welding and quality assurance inspections. Attendees will observe advanced computerized manufacturing processes which employ cutting edge equipment and technology.
Wisconsin is a leader in manufacturing for the United States; however, the United States is in danger of losing its edge and may soon fall behind other countries in Engineering, Innovation and Manufacturing. Manufacturing grows communities with safe, stable, family supporting careers. Many People today don't truly know what advanced manufacturing is. We welcome the opportunity to introduce you to advanced manufacturing, answer any questions you might have, and share with you why we believe "Making Things is Cool!"
We will be hosting tours and demonstrations between 9:00am and 4:00pm on Friday October 7th, 2016 at GenMet Corp. located at 10245 North Enterprise Drive in Mequon, WI. We welcome you to join us and share the experience of watching students light up when they see the practical applications of what they are learning in math and science class.
