Our open house will provide attendees the opportunity to tour a local modern job shop, in action. They will see the latest in CNC technology, and meet machinists of all skill levels. We will conduct machine demos, and some students wiill be given the chance to help machine their own personal part, and to learn more about the Ivan & Judith Flohr Scholarships, awarded to 4 area high school students who wish to pursue a career in manufacturing. Our core industries served are tire, energy and automotive. The goal for hosting an event is to change the perception about modern manufacturing. This is not what is portrayed in the school books. Technology is advancing at a rapid pace. Our facilities are clean and the environment is safe. No open toed shoes are allowed on the shop floor, bring safety glasses if you have them. Food and refreshments will be provided in the lunch room.
