In honor of Manufacturing Day, the Advanced Manufacturing Office and the Wind Program will showcase a section of our 3D printed wind turbine blade mold on the ground floor lobby in the Forrestal office building from October 3-14. On Monday, October 3, we will be hosting a joint, kickoff event to unveil the wild blade mold display and to officially kick off DOE’s Manufacturing Day efforts.
AMO Director, Mark Johnson, will be giving a few remarks regarding AMO’s individual contributions to the manufacturing sector and to highlight the 3D wind turbine wind blade project from a manufacturing perspective. Additionally, there will be a representative from the Wind Program that will also speak to the project from a wind focused perspective.
