Area 31 Career Center's Partnership Day is an all-day event, designed to support 1,200 career and technical education students representing eleven central Indiana high schools. Representatives are invited from college, career, military, and other organizations to provide information and activities regarding current and post-secondary options available to students. Our goal is to provide our students with information about their career opportunities and choices they may make before, during, and after graduation.
Whether it is during a challenging game of Giant Jenga, enjoying a tasty treat from one of the food trucks or taking a selfie with a local employer, the door for post-secondary conversations are opened and opportunities for community partnerships abound.
Participants from various organizations occupy a table/booth and provide information regarding options for students after graduation. Our sponsors are encouraged to bring an engaging activity and/or product giveaways that students will associate with each business or organization. The variance in activities help students engage in authentic conversations about their options, in an environment that is both encouraging and inviting.
