Alabama Wing is celebrating 75 years of the Civil Air Patrol (CAP) and Grand Opening of the Civil Air Patrol Exhibit with "Aerospace Education Day" at the Southern Museum of Flight on October 15, 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. There will be activities for youth ages 12-17 as well as opportunities for adults to learn more about CAP. "Aerospace Education Day" is open to all Civil Air Patrol Members, Aerospace Education Members, potential recruits and the general public. Come and see what CAP has to offer in the way of STEM - including hydraulics, robotics, UAS hovercraft, aeroprops, the Lucky Lindy Landing, and more. This *FREE* event will include a tour of the Southern Museum of Flight and the CAP plane restored with the help of cadets. Registration is required and space is limited. Bring a sack lunch--cake will be served.
